Oregon mural in floral and symbolic style
In June 2019 I created a mural in Medford, Oregon.
The city administration wanted a mural that would celebrate the city’s history, it’s agricultural past and present, and acquaint visitors with the area’s traditions and culture.
That is why the main elements of the mural are pear and apple blossoms, the main crops that are grown in the orchards, surrounding Medford.
The pear blossom festival is the main holiday in the city.
The other elements of the design, historic buildings of the area, birds, and plants that are native to the state of Oregon, are celebrating the beauty and history of Jackson county.
I often include elements of nature in the designs of my murals. Native flora and fauna of the area, I think, it is something to be celebrated and cared for.
It was fun for me and my family to work and visit southern Oregon and to create this beautiful mural for the city of Medford.
To see more pictures about the creation of the mural, read more information about the design of the mural, please come back in a week to read the blog post about the mural.
