The square and the walls before the decorations project
«Symphony of the Universe» is an unrealised project of a decorations for the public square in the centre of Saint Petersburg. It was my final diploma work for the St. Petersburg Art Academy.
This place, an old unkempt park, threadbare buildings, with four empty walls on it, is occupied with communal apartments. Thousands of people see this tacky surrounding every day.
This project of wall decorations and murals is an example of how art can change the disadvantaged, problematic area into auspicious, harmonical zone.
